El Vacio Entre el Todo y la Nada

Yocandra vuelve al París de sus sueños y se instala en el barrio de Marais, en un edificio cuyos inquilinos, una mezcla folklorica y bullanguera de artistas, pintores, bailarines, gentes solitarias o familias raras y atípicas, formaran parte de su nuevo entorno cotidiano, allí encontrará nuevas amistades, se reencontrará con su madre, conocerá la vida de los disidentes cubanos en el exilio, el matrimonio, la traición de informadores y espías del régimen castrista el reencuentro con el amor de su vida y allí también sufrirá los altibajos emocionales que produce el exilio forzado, la sensación de perdida constante, el vacío, la inadaptabilidad, el desarraigo y la sensación de no pertenecer a ningún lugar en especifico. Pero la realidad dista mucho de la ficción y para Yocandra tantas emociones encontradas, cruzadas y obligadas a vivirlas, a disfrutarlas o a sufrirlas la llevarán a un punto donde no podrá diferenciar si vive el todo o la nada cotidiana de su vida.
Otra magnifica novela donde la autora con su inconfundible estilo pasa de un lenguaje castizo y refinado a la vulgaridad mas prosaica en una sola frase, sazonada con cubanismos y momentos tragicómicos que usando a la protagonista principal de la obra y los secundarios como telón de fondo convierte la obra en una denuncia al sistema castrista totalitario de la isla y de las repercusiones físicas, mentales y emocionales de aquellos que se han podido librar de la tiranía en cuerpo pero que en cierta parte de sus subconscientes siguen atados a los temores, dudas e incertidumbres que la represión, el temor y el miedo sembró para siempre en sus mentes impidiéndoles sentirse libres y realizados en el exilio.
